GROVELAND – The Groveland Water and Sewer Department and Board of Water Commissioners share that water testing on Well #3 will be completed on Friday, Sept. 19, with the pilot trailer moving across town to Well #1.
The trailer collects data that will aid in the design of the full-scale Water Treatment Plant. Well 1 water will be tested for one week.
During testing, residents are asked to limit recreational water use in an effort to collect accurate data and not to overextend resources.
The Department and Board members thank residents and community members for their continued cooperation and understanding during this project.
The pilot trailer arrived in Groveland and was placed into service on Monday, Sept. 8, at the Pines Recreation area, testing water from Well #3. The pilot trailer study is expected to end on Sept. 26. A full diagnostic assessment based on testing collection results will be generated by BlueLeaf, and the data will be used by the engineers at Apex Companies, who are assisting with the Groveland Water Treatment Plant project.
